The Leonardo da Vinci Museum is located behind the Cupola del Duomo, in the heart of the city of Florence. Visiting the museum provides the opportunity to discover the world of the great Master: his life, his works, and his secrets. These are all still yet to be fully revealed. After a long study, based on extensive research, we were instructed to give a new and more contemporary image to the museum. This was to be in keeping with their architectural renovations and the upgrading of their in-house technology.
The objective was to create an identity that bore no resemblance to the classical Italian museum, one which had more contemporary colours and shapes. We were able to tailor- make a brand identity, a web site and a social networking strategy. The core foundation of these, in both narrative and visual terms, was built on the significance of the museum, the appeal of knowledge, the local area, and the museum’s prestige.
The result is a work that showcases how the Leonardo da Vinci Museum is a museum that cannot be missed by those coming to visit the city.
